The finals of the Connaught/Leinster Club calf championships took place at Trim Show over the first weekend in September. This year’s competition was kindly sponsored by the renowned agri-food business Country Crest and the winners of each section are listed below:

Male champion: Liss Mandrin V847 from John McEnroe, Liss, Oldcastle, Co Meath

Reserve male champion: Knockadrinan Stephen 686 from Tom Reynolds, Knockadrinan, Johnstonsbridge, Bornacoola, Co LeitrimFemale champion: Knockadrinan Ruda 675 from Tom Reynolds, Knockadrinan, Johnstonsbridge, Bornacoola, Co Leitrim

Reserve female champion: Lawsons Ford Sugar Town V432 from Barry Smith, Cootehill, Co Cavan
