Aberdeen-Angus from Retanach set to go under the hammer

Hailing from Rothiemay, near Huntly, Jackie Strathdee and son Philip operate the well renowned Retanach herd. The mother and son duo farm the 400 acre owned unit and run around 130 Aberdeen-Angus cows. Over the years they have built up a strong customers base at the annual sale at Thainstone and has now become their main market for selling Aberdeen-Angus progeny.
North Retanach will have forward 70 Aberdeen-Angus and 10 Beef Shorthorn store cattle for sale at Thainstone, which includes 30 heifers suitable for breeding.
