For the second year running, an Aberdeen-Angus cross carcase from Aberdeenshire commercial beef producer, Gavin Ross, Wardhead, Strichen, carried off the championship at the Scottish National Premier Meat Exhibition at Scotbeef, Bridge of Allan. The winner was bred by Ian and Elizabeth Watt, West Cullerly, Echt, and also won the award for the carcase most suited for the Italian market.
