World Angus Forum 2017 Technical Conference: ‘From Consumption to Conception’

12.04.2017

One of the most eagerly anticipated events within this year’s World Angus Forum schedule is the two-day Technical Conference: From Consumption to Conception, taking place from Sunday 25th to Monday 26th June at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

The conference will be packed with knowledge, giving delegates the chance to learn more about every level of the beef production process. As the conference title suggests, the consumer viewpoint is first and foremost, their needs are related back to production, and integrated to go full circle to meet demands and expectations.

A fantastic array of industry experts will provide valuable sessions on a number of topics, from the food industry and what the consumer wants, to how data, genetics and genomics can help improve the consumer’s experience and how Aberdeen-Angus cattle can be beneficial to both human health and the environment.

The Technical Conference is not just an Aberdeen-Angus conference, but a beef production conference that is relevant to all beef breeders. We have a great mix of speakers, from technical speakers to practical farmers who are using the technology, so we can get a real insight into every level of the production process. There will also be a selection of smaller workshops to be enjoyed across the two days in what is sure to be a magnificent event.

A big thank you must be extended to the sponsors of the Technical Conference, Allflex, who are world leaders in the design, manufacture and delivery of animal identification technology.
