Parasite Forecast

NADIS publishes a monthly Parasite Forecast for farmers and livestock keepers, based on detailed Met Office data. The Parasite Forecast outlines the parasitic challenge facing cattle and sheep in the different UK regions. This month’s webinar focuses on the Fluke Forecast for cattle and sheep, roundworms in store lambs and cattle and external parasites of sheep.

Disease Forecase

Arguably the most important time in an animal’s life is the first few hours after birth. Good colostrum management is a crucial part of this and just a few minutes thinking about the planning can make all the difference. Ewes coming up towards lambing will also be at risk of developing vaginal prolapse and it’s good to have a plan as to how you will treat and prevent cases. In this webinar James Aitken, of Orchard Veterinary Group in Glastonbury, discusses these two important topics and how best manage them.
