The show season has kicked off in the South West of England and taking the male and overall championship at this year’s North Somerset Show under judge Gayle Bersey was the senior bull Mosston Muir Evander P345 from Messrs Hart and Ball’s Elmview herd in Monmouthshire. Evander was purchased at Stirling in 2015 and is by Mosston Muir Mr Angus L288.

Taking the female championship and reserve breed awards was a recent addition to Paul and Kirsty Westaway’s Melview herd, Oakchurch Duchess R212. This Blelack Blackrod L774 daughter was purchased at the recent Society sale at Worcester. 

It was the first time both exhibits had been shown and they now both head to Royal Three Counties in June.
