Irish Aberdeen-Angus Premier Autumn Sale

Irish Aberdeen-Angus Premier Autumn Sale

06.11.2018

The Irish Aberdeen-Angus Association will hold its final major sale of the year at the Showgrounds, Carrick-On-Shannon, Co. Leitrim on Saturday, November 10th.

The annual Autumn sale of pedigree Aberdeen-Angus bulls and heifers continues to provide a valuable addition to the Society’s autumn schedule and boasted a top price of €5000 last year, with many lots exported to Northern Ireland and sold into pedigree herds. This year, several high profile prize-winning bulls and heifers from the summer show circuit will be offered for sale, including the supreme female champion from the recent Irish Aberdeen-Angus Calf Show, the 2018 Munster junior bull of the year, the 2018 Connaught/Leinster bull calf champion and many other prize-winners at local, regional and national level.

Almost all of the lots included in the sale are 4 or 5 stars on ICBF terminal and replacement index (suitable for herds participating in the BDGP scheme) and are bred from very easy calving and proven bloodlines.

In total, the sale offers a select exhibition of top quality young bulls and heifers and it is a superb opportunity to acquire pedigree stock from some of the leading Aberdeen-Angus herds across the length and breadth of the country.

The show of bulls and heifers starts at 11am with the sale kicking off at 1pm. Catalogues are available on the website now by clicking here and for more information, please contact the Irish Aberdeen-Angus Association office on 071 9632099.
