Haughton-bred heifer wins Newark and Notts Show

16.05.2016

Carrying on a recent winning form for Haughton-bred genetics, Owen Tunney and Peter Whittaker’s jointly owned heifer Haughton Lola R151 stood top of the line at Newark and Notts Show at the weekend under judge Juliet Swires of the Cragg herd. Entries were limited at the show, due to TB restrictions, but quality remained high.

Lola is by Rawburn Elysium F547 and is out of the successful show cow Haughton Laura D444. Taking the reserve spot was Owen’s home bred heifer Morpheus Kristy R025. This one is by the herd’s stock bull Liley Elder and is out of Owen’s female champion from the Winter National Show, The Moss Krispy Girl N221.
