A strong turnout of Angus cattle graced Ayr Show this year and taking the top spot was Duncanziemere Edwina R127 from the Clark family. This 14 months old heifer was a class winner at last year’s Summer National Show and is by Duncanziemere Explosive, a Rawburn Transformer son. She’s out of Duncanziemere Edwina N043 who is a maternal sister to bulls sold for 11,000gns and 9000gns and was champion at Ayr last year with Edwina R127 at foot.
Taking the reserve honours was John Steel of the Westdrums herd with Alewater Proud Innes R352. This 13 month old Netherton Americano M703 son is out of Alewater Proud Ildana K057 and was purchased as a calf at foot at Alewater dispersal last August.
