We would like to welcome everyone here today and thank you for attending our reduction sale. The herd was established in the late 1950’s by my parents – Ralph & Maura Armstrong, with the purchase of a heifer calf for 1 old penny from Senator J.D Sheridan, Kilberry herd.
My first purchase was a 6 month heifer in 1985 from Mr Peter Casey Sligo. Using these bloodlines as well as AI Bulls & our Stock Bulls during the years have added to the herd. Our most recent bull was ‘Blelack Elijah’ (front cover picture) purchased at bull sales in Perth, Scotland in 2009. ‘Elijah’ was a prizewinner at several shows including an All Ireland as well as being Balmoral champion 2010-11. Our current Stockbull is ‘Liss Mars’ who is breeding very successfully to ‘Elijah’s’ daughters.
All our animals are IBR, BVD and Lepto vaccinated. All cows & heifers will be scanned for the day of the sale and all service details will be available on the day.
We hope you enjoy your day and the best of luck with your Aberdeen Angus Cattle.
