Birches Lipstick P435 wins Armagh Show

13.06.2016

Securing the championship honours at Armagh Show on Saturday under judge Shane McKiernan of the Drumcarbin herd, Co Cavan, was the Matchett family of Nigel, Gail, Sarah and Sam with the March 2014-born heifer Birches Lipstick P435. By Bunlahy Philip K248, she’s out of the Lissard Mark daughter, Drumcrow Lima G266.
No stranger to winning ways, Lipstick was Ulster champion in 2015, as well as yearling heifer champion at the Northern Ireland Aberdeen-Angus Club Calf Show last November and was also best exhibitor bred animal in Northern Ireland in 2015.

Standing reserve to her was James Porter’s yearling bull Old Glenort Krank R697. Born March 2015, this one is by The Moss Quebec K027 and is out of the Eastfield Fusilier D373 daughter, Old Glenort Kathleen M704. Again, used to winning form, Krank has already stood reserve male champion and junior male and junior overall champion at Balmoral Show earlier in the season.
