An Aberdeen-Angus two year old heifer with calf at foot, swept all before her at Pembroke County Show. Melview Ginny S204, was Champion Any Other Native & Aberdeen-Angus Champion on the Tuesday, before becoming overall Native Champion on Thursday at this huge three day county show. Ginny is no stranger to success having been Female Junior Champion at the 2017 National Show, for her breeders and owners Melview Farming. Ginny calved in June at 25 months and now heads for the 2018 National at Westmorland Show in September.

Taking Reserve Aberdeen-Angus Champion was another fancy heifer from the Westaways, Melview Diva T293 is a July 17 Nightingale Red Piper Daughter H446, from Oakchurch Duchess R212 who has had a super summer in 2018. Diva is also off to the National at Westmorland in September.

Council member John James is doing a great job in lifting the profile of the Aberdeen-Angus breed in Wales, and the incredible interest in the Aberdeen-Angus cattle at the show is testament to the hard work and enthusiasm John is giving the breed in Wales.
