A great day for Ballindalloch Home Farms at this year’s Keith Show

30.08.2018

On Monday 13th August the 2018 Keith Show took place and it was a heifer from Ballindalloch Home Farms that took the breed championship from the Aberdeen-Angus classes. Ballindalloch Ebony S499 has had a fantastic show season and she stood Aberdeen-Angus Champion at Grantown Show which meant she was eligible for the Scottish Champions of Champions which takes place at Keith Show.

Off the back of taking the breed championship, Ballindalloch Ebony went on to take Native Champion of Scotland in the Scottish Champion of Champions Competition to round off a wonderful day for the team at Ballindalloch. Out of Ballindalloch Erica J315 and by Ballindalloch Earl N397, Ebony was shown by farm managers David and Susan Johnstone at Keith Show where she greatly impressed judge Dougie McBeath of Stirling.

On the day, the reserve Aberdeen-Angus championship went to the Tonley Herd with Tonley Pato N938, where the Native Reserve Champion of Scotland was Water End Payton N108 from Richard & Carol Rettie. You can view the full results from the Keith show by visiting: http://www.keithshow.org.uk/results/
