The Connaught Provincial Perpetual Trophy, presented and awarded by the Irish Aberdeen-Angus Assocation to the best Aberdeen-Angus in the Connaught province was awarded at the annual Mohill Show over the weekend.

The winning recipient for 2017 was Conor Craig & Amanda Bogan from Coolarty, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford with their bull calf, Millbawn Prizeman. This one was born in April 2017 and is sired by Rawburn Eventer 2 and is out of Knockadrinan Blackbird M535. Despite standing at barely four months of age, this young calf previously secured a prize at the National Livestock Show, Tullamore and came through a quality line-up of cattle at Mohill to walk away with the biggest title in Connaught.
