Coolermoney herd on top again at the Ballymena Show

20.06.2018

The Coolermoney Aberdeen-Angus herd won their third supreme championship in as many weeks at last weekend’s Ballymena Show for owners Adrian Parke and family, Strabane, Co. Tyrone. Judge Mr. William McMordie selected the yearling heifer, Coolermoney Frances T703 as the day’s champion (pictured above), with this latest win following on from her supreme championship title at Ballymoney Show earlier in the month. This heifer was born in Feburary 2017 and is sired by Hallington Edition M362 and descends from the Frances cow family at Netherton on the dam’s side.

Standing in the reserve championship spot was Macknagh Mills Dolly S731 exhibited by Michael Lagan, Upperlans, Maghera, Co. Derry. This 21 month old heifer is sired by Blelack Evermore J231 and is out of the homebred dam, Macknagh Mills Diana K913.
