The Connaught/Leinster Aberdeen-Angus Club held its annual AGM on Friday last, with a good crowd in attendance on the night. One of the largest clubs in the country, taking in a vast geographical area that stretches from Galway/Mayo in the West and right down to Wicklow in the South-East, the club is looking to add yet more activities to its yearly schedule with a cattle tour in the works for this coming summer. The three-day tour is in the planning stages presently but it is hoped to visit the Munster region during the last week of July (provisionally around the weekend of 27th – 29th) and would include stops at some of the best-known pedigree Aberdeen-Angus herds in the area. It is hoped to visit 7 herds in total and the tour would also offer a wonderful opportunity to take in the sights and scenery of the picturesque Munster province.
