First bull to break the 2000gns barrier at Carlisle today was Belhaven Dunkirk P092 (lot 16) from J Gilmour and Co. He is a Netherallan Peter Pershore E052.

McCornick Event P014, a Wedderlie Even Bonus J939 son from Martin McCornick sold for 2000gns at Carlisle.

Moving on to females and Rawburn Rosebud Willabar N682 (lot 26) made 2600gns. She was followed by Rawburn Blackbird N718 (lot 27), the pre-sale female champion at 5700gns.

 

Trade in the dispersal of the mature portion of the Rull herd is up to 5000gns so far for the successful show cow Rull Evita L127 and her bull calf by Netherton Big Edition.

Leading price so far in the Aberdeen-Angus ring today at 8000gns is the January born heifer calf Rull Francis R206, a Big Edition daughter selling to William McLaren.

The last lot in the Rull offering was Maplejacks Molly Bridget’s L117 and her heifer calf, they sold at 3200gns

Top price in Stuart Addison’s Castlegate dispersal was 2800gns for Belhaven Franciscan L386 and her bull calf by Auldhouseburn Karlos D218.

Alastair Beattie’s Lochmaben reduction set off at 3200gns for Lochmaben Pansy L125 and her bull calf by Auldhouseburn Karlos D218.

Lochmaben Pansy N149 from Alastair Beattie sold at 3800gns with her heifer calf at foot by Auldhouseburn Karlos D218.

 

Also selling at 3800gns for Alastair Beattie was Lochmaben Royal Lady N153 with her Peter Pershore bull calf at foot.

The last lot from Alastair Beattie was the yearling heifer Lochmaben Lady Heather P171, a Peter Pershore daughter.
