The weather was kind to us at this year’s Royal Highland Show and the crowds were out in numbers to watch the Aberdeen-Angus classes at the Show. Having brought you the results on the day, we’re delighted to now be able to bring you some photography from what was another great day.
Pictured below is judge Hamish Sclater’s Overall Aberdeen-Angus Champion, Crew Lady Jasmine S247 from Stephanie Dick. This one is by Netherton Fabulous Cruz and out of Cregga Judy and impressed throughout the day, taking 1st place in her class then the female, junior female, overall junior and overall championships.

The Overall Aberdeen-Angus Reserve was Mr and Mrs R&C Rettie’s January 2013 born Male Champion Water End Payton N108 out of Water End Prudence and sired by Blelack Evergreat.

There was more accolades for Mr and Mrs R&C Rettie as Hamish Sclater awarded the Reserve Junior Championship, Reserve Junior Female and Reserve Female to Retties Ruisseau T391, a January 2017 born female by Retties JFK and out of Belhaven Ruisseau. This one was also the Reserve Female Champion on a successful day.

The day’s Male Reserve Championship went to Messrs John Lascelles’ Blamachie Rodger by Balmachie Ben Vorlich out of Balmachie Rachel.

The Junior Male Champion was Mr Andrew Hodge’s Rulesmains Egbert Tb72, while the Junior Male Reserve was Donald Rankin’s Kilmaluag Eriskay by Retties JFK M195 and out of Mosston Muir Etta.

Additionally, the champion native beef breeder went to Cragg Lord Leviathan while reserve went to Linton Gilbertines Powerhouse.
