Dam Buster takes red rosette for John Elliot

The Rawburn Lord Ross son Elliot Dam Buster H852 from John Elliot has just taken first in a strong class of intermediate bulls. This one is out of Elliot Delia D002 and stood reserve senior male champion at the National Calf Show at Carlisle.

Blelack on strong winning form

Another from the Blelack string has just taken a red rosette, this time in the form of Blelack Lord Hildalgo H972 (lot 184). This April born bull is another by Peter Pershore, this time out of the Blackstock daughter Blealck Lady Heather D977.

Cheeklaw take first intermediate class

Winning the first of the intermediate classes is David Lucas with Cheeklaw Erick H300 (lot 161), an April born son of Tweedside Jewgal Eric Z083. This one is out of the Lord Horation P11 of Blelack daughter Erika of Cheeklaw.

Blelack on winning form

The first success of the day for the Massie family’s string of bulls came in the form of Blelack Evor H929 (lot 136). Born March 2008, this one is by one of the herd’s stock bulls Netherallan Peter Pershore out of the Blelack Blackstock A227 daughter Blelack Evora D988.

Flodden Jetstream takes a red rosette

Coming out on top in the fourth class of senior bulls is Flodden Jetstream H439 (lot 128), from JA Laing. This March 2008-born son of Oakchurch Dynamite and was bred by Jonathan Hayward.

The first of the Red male offering has greeted the Stirling ringside with an impressive performance, as Logie Red Eagle (lot 112) H664 from Messrs M Bruce and Partners has just won the third class of senior bulls.

Wedderlie on winning form in senior class

Taking the second class of senior bulls was the giant bull Wedderlie Posse H567 (lot 102) from the Campbell’s. Led out by Wanda Hobbs, Posse is a powerful son of Wedderlie Black Boss E950 out of the Tui Blackmark daughter Wedderlie Poppet A234.

Moncur take the lead in first senior class

Taking the lead in the first class of senior Aberdeen-Angus bulls under Albert De Cogan was Russell Taylor with Moncur Eminence H099 (lot 84), a January 2008-born son of the herd’s stock bull Curzon Eminence.
