Westellen Black Belinda wins Belgooly Show

Belgooly, a small village situated between Cork and Kinsale, saw the biggest turn of cattle for its Annual Show held on 5th June.  Angus breeders John and Kate Tait’s Westellan herd took the major honours with their cow Westellan Black Belinda who won the Interbreed Beef Championship having defeated last years  Interbreed Champion, the Burke Family’s Jesana Western Babe in the Angus cow class.

In the Interbreed Pairs Westellan Evita and Westellan Black Buddy came first with second place going to Eustace and Deirdre Burke’s Jesana Western Babe and Springmount Wyona. Westellan Eviata was also reserve Aberdeen Angus champion. The Judge was prominent Limousin Breeder Clive Jennings.
