UK-bred genetics reign supreme in Denmark

UK-bred Aberdeen-Angus genetics are coming out on top form in Denmark as Moncur Edgar H116, a December 2008-born son of Rawburn Rommell E423 out of Moncur Edwina F065, has taken the Grand Championship at the Denmark National Show.

Moncur Edgar

His owner, Soren Vester, who bought Edgar in Stirling in February for 4000gns, also stood fourth in the overall interbreed line up at the show. Mr Vester was also exhibiting other UK-bred Angus cattle and won the old bull class with Lockerley Predator H967, by Shadwell Domino Noir D184.

Lockerley Pharoh J062, by Lockerley Kasino D423, also won the best bull under 18 months of age and Kincardine Castle Everest J719, by Lorabar Prince Charlie F199, stood second.
