Round up from the shows sees a busy week for Angus cattle

On a quick round up of some of the shows across the UK, Aberdeen-Angus cattle are featuring heavily this week.

Leading the cattle at New Deer Show, Aberdeenshire, was Mosston Muir Megan from Tom Rennie. Having taken the breed championship ahead of  Charles McCombie’s Blelack Widgeon, Megan went on to win the interbreed under judge A Lawson, she beat the Charolais champion Newhouse Challenger.

Brian McClintock was on winning form at Great Eccleston Show, Lancashire, with Craigie Jody, while R Ashworth took reserve with Jerusalem Vavura.

Colin Davidson was in charge of judging at Caithness Show, where he put up W Barnetson and Sons’ Lynegar Blackjack, while taking reserve was D and M Tait with Inkstack Primetime.
