Forfar Stars of the Future Calf Show

The SAV Networth son entered at Stirling by Abington Farms is thought to be the first son of this record breaking bull to be sold in the UK. The bull comes out of a cow with growth and increased frame creating a bull for the UK herd but with the natural power and bulk of SAV Networth. Abington Farms Ltd have flushed their exceptional MVF VRD Dateline female to this bull to produce just two embryos which have been retained and implanted. Semen rights have been retained but no semen has been taken. We feel that this bull is probably the most impressive of the four Networth sons that we have bred.

Hello Dave – amused by your comment as you couldnt be more wrong! I dont know your source of information but we have only shown this bull to one visitor and that was nearly a year ago when the bull was a calf ! Our Networth bulls are impressive…. Our Limousin bulls have won the Royal Show senior bull, intermediate and junior classes on several occasions. We have sold the highest performance bulls all around the world and to Genus but no bull, on our farm, of any breed has ever attained the 400 day weight and frame of the Networth sired bulls.

SIMON;
appologies was making a sweeping remark bout the size of SAV sons, and no it wasnt yours that i heard was small – too many herd names and surnames sounding similar nowadays! confused! – was somebody elses bulls i had heard about that were born in 09 so definately couldnt of been urs!! always liked networth, but kept gettin rumours of ill size, if i make it to stirling, will get a look at urs, specially if hes big because i like the figures on him,
Cheers

Hi Dave – I thought I read on FW’s Taking Stock that you had bulls for sale in Stirling – if so what’s your prefix (maybe I got that wrong) – really looking forward to stirling as there is a great catalogue. Shame the Balmachie bull won’t be there as would be great to see him in the flesh he looked amazing in Carlisle. Looking forward to seeing the Elliot bull as well.

Dave – Sorry you’re not going to make it to the sale yourself – no doubt you will be keeping an eye on trade from your farm office then! I’ll try and bring you all the news from the show and sale ring over the course of the two days
