Melview Farming champion at Moreton in the Marsh

Continuing their winning ways from the recent Monmouth Show, Paul and Kirsty Westaway of Melview Farming, Glos, celebrated yet another victory this time at Moreton in the Marsh on Saturday. Taking the championship in the strong Angus classes under judge Katrina Sutherland from Abberton was the overall female champion Tofts Prona D680. Bred by James Playfair-Hannay, Prona is by Blelack Lord Hildalgo A234 and is out of Tofts Prona X4.

Taking the male and reserve overall championship was a yearling bull from first time exhibitors Daylesford Organic Farms Ltd. Daylesford Progressor J188, an April 009-born son of Ballavitchel Preferred Stock E528 is a daughter of Wedederlie Princelle D808.

Taking the reserve female championship was the yearling heifer Melview Georgie J017 from Melview Farming. By Nightingale kruncher D210, she is out of the Rawburn Transformer daughter Tegsnose Geraldine C095.
