Matchett’s win Ballymena Show with Cloghogue Evolution

It was a damp start to one day shows in Northern Ireland last Saturday, but that didn’t stop enthusiastic Aberdeen-Angus breeders coming out in force at Ballymena.

In beef young handlers Aberdeen-Angus YDP members featured in the overall line ups as Sam Matchett took second place with his Aberdeen-Angus crossbred heifer Black Beauty 2 in the 8-12 year old class, while  Jack Smyth stood fifth in the 13-19 year old class.
