Lady Jane wins Clogher Valley Show

Adding to such a strong year for Sam and Sarah Matchett, their two year old heifer Carrigore D Lady Jane, took the championship at Clogher Valley Show under judge Ben Ryall, Co Cork. Born October 2007, Lady Jane is by Loghlynn Ace (Imp) and is out of Carrigore Lady Julie.

Taking the recerve championship was H Mills and John Best with their bull Logie Lustre F473, a March 2006-born son of Skaill Dot Com A304 out of the young Dale Hogan 3Y daughter Fairoaks Lucy U82.

The Aberdeen-Angus YDP members also had a cracking day in beef young handlers. In a large junior handlers class 14 years and under Sarah Matchett stood first, while Jack Smyth stood third. And in the senior handler class for 15-25 year olds Gemma Snodgrass stood first with Graeme Parke standing second. The overall champion young handler was Sarah Matchett.
