Hawstead Lodge Pamela reserve interbreed at Edenbridge

Leading the way in the Aberdeen-Angus classes at today’s Edenbridge and Oxted Show under judge and cattle showman Richard McInnes was Andrew Brown’s cow and calf Hawstead Lodge Pamela.

This four year old cow with her April heifer calf at foot by Nightingale Panmuir is by Blelack Blackberet, the herd’s orginal stock bull and out of Hayrish Petura. She then went one better by winning the hotly contested female interbreed championship before being tapped out under judge Mike Yeandle as reserve overall interbreed champion behind the Simmental bull from Boddington Estates.

Standing reserve in the Angus classes was the the Bishop family’s two year old bull Warrenho Dalmigavie by Nightingale Dalmigavie out of Trollingham Delixir. The Bishop’s also stood reserve female champion with Warrenho Juliet Erica F186. This three year old first calver with a heifer calf by Lockerley Legend is by Netherton Kiwi Sam out of Warrenho Juliet Erica B080.

Standing reserve male champion was Andrew Brown’s February born yearling bull Hawstead Lodge Eric by Nightingale Panmuir out of a bought in Curzon bred.

Winning the heifer class was Angus Stovold with Rosemead Bellmaid G790 by Ellin Erroneous out of Rosemead Bellmaid D493.

Winning the native commercial class was Holswothy based Mike Kirby with his recent Holsworthy Show’s native champion Lockerley Black Butterfly.
