Bishop family on fantastic winning form at South of England Show

Carrying their winning form, the Bishop family led the way at this week’s South of England Show at Ardingly, West Sussex, by taking both the champion and reserve champion rosettes.

Their champion animal led out by Rob Bishop and tapped out by Cheshire-based Fraser Cormack was the previous Cornwall Show champion Warrenho Dalmigavie G237, a Nightingale Dalmigavie Y195 son out of Trollingham Delix D001.

The reserve spot was filled by their February yearling heifer Warrenho Cherry Blossom H250 by Lockerley Eastern Cruz B201 out of Gaston Wood Cherry Blossom Z023.

The champion bull also went on to take the Super Bull native top spot, while the heifer took on strong competion in the native junior interbreed championship under judge and south west-based Limousin breeder Vicky Maynard to take the top spot.

At the same show, leading the way in the native commercial beef classes was Heathfield, East Sussex-based Sarah and Jason Wareham, with their incredibly stylish Aberdeen-Angus cross heifer, no doubt this will be one to watch out for over the summer season.
