Aberdeen Angus win Native Team of Five at the Royal Show

Coming through in an incredibly strong Team of Five line up at the Royal Show, the Aberdeen-Angus team took the native top spot, ahead of tough competition from the Longhorn, Sussex and Shorthorn team.

The winning team, who were beaten by the winning Simmental team who took the top spot, consisted of the breed champion Warrenho Dalmigavie from the Bishop family and the female and reserve overall champion Jerusalem Diana from Brian and Linda Ronan. Making up the rest of the team was the first prize cow Rosemead Karlotta from Angus Stovold, the first prize Lockerley Leeloe from Lockerely Hall Farms and Jerusalem Delia from the Ronan’s.

The judge Colin Christie from Northern Ireland, who breeds Hereford cattle along with running Christies Animal Grooming Products, said the Angus team had great power and were a uniformed group.
