Aberdeen-Angus National Calf Show kicks off today

The Aberdeen-Angus National Calf Show kicks off this morning at Borderway Mart, in conjuction with this year’s Agri-Expo. Juding starts at 9.30 with Alastair Fraser of the Idvies herd taking centre stage with his judges hat on. There are 11 classes to get through and we’ll hopefully bringing you class results and (fingers crossed) some pictures throughout the day.

After the calf show, the youth development finalists will take to the ring for their National Final, whihc is being judged by Simmental breeder Bridget Borlase from Hertfordshire. Bridget has been involved with training the younger generation of the South East Simmental Club for many years so will no doubt do a fantastic job later on.
