Aberdeen-Angus calf “Gentle Ben” sells for £2000 at Caledonian premier sale

Among the higher-priced purchases at the recent premier calf show and sale at Caledonian Marts was the Aberdeen-Angus champion, Gentle Ben, a 13-month-old bullock, by Flodden Warden and out of a Limousin cross, from Ross Farms, of Wester Middleton, Gorebridge.

He stood reserve champion in the commercial lines with its mother at Dalkeith and Haddington Shows in the Lothians and sold on the day for £2000.
