The sad passing of Terrence (Terry) Kavanagh

07.11.2018

The sudden death of Terence (Terry) Kavanagh occured on the 26th of August.

Terry was the owner of the Tomcoyle Aberdeen-Angus herd which he founded with purchases from Tomriland, Liss, Lisduff and Dunlever herds.

Terry also owned and managed a very successful Butchery business in Roundwood village, with as many as five regular employees. This business served the wider hinterland and was noted for the quality of his Aberdeen-Angus beef, along with his Pork and Poultry lines. He had an inherent ability at selecting quality animals. This was noted by his peers in the Irish Aberdeen-Angus Association and The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society when he would be attending the Stirling shows and sales.

Terry who was held in high esteem by his many friends will be remembered for his reserved disposition. His generosity in supporting local charities and events was legendary and always done quietly and without fanfare.

His friends in the Irish Aberdeen-Angus Association and The Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society extend condolences to the Kavanagh family on their great loss.
