Messrs F J Frasers and Son of the Idvies herd have announced the private sale of Idvies Fellaini R699 to John Elliot, Rawburn.

Sold at just 14 months old, Fellani is top 1% for terminal index (+59), top 1% for self replacing index (+67), top 1% of the breed for 200, 400 and 600-day growth and retail beef yield and top 5% of the breed for milk and eye muscle area.

Fellaini’s dam, Idvies Flora K489, goes back to one of the breed’s great females, Cee Bar Favorite and is by the 24,000gns Lockerley Legolas G850. Fellani’s sire is the 12,000gns Inkstack Ely, purchased in Stirling in February 2014.

“We greatly admire the female line that Fellaini is bred from and have monitored his progress from an early age. He is not only a bull that looks impressive but one that performs at the highest level in numerous performance traits,” comments purchaser John Elliot.

“From the moment Fellaini hit the ground we knew we had something special, he has matured into a young bull with fantastic carcass quality and width right through with great breed character. We are delighted to see Fellaini to Rawburn and wish them every success with him for the future,” added breeder Graeme Fraser.
