Taking the female and breed championship honours at Romsey Show at the weekend was the Bishop family’s Warrenho Erica M418, shown by by Ruth Perry. Described by judge Paul Westaway as “a big, modern, stylish cow, with an  amazing calf at foot,” Erica is having an excellent summer with many prizes collected at southern shows.

Taking the reserve spot on her first outing of the summer having just calved was Lockerley Farms’ Lockerley Precious Pride K182 shown by Abbey and David Batch. This Beeston Predator H114 daughter has only calved four weeks and according to Paul was looking “amazing for such a short time calved.”

The Aberdeen-Angus breed also had great success with the Warrenho team winning the interbreed pairs trophy with a pair of homebred March 2015 heifers.
