The AGM of the Munster Aberdeen Angus Club took place at the Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015.
2015 will be an exciting year for the Munster Aberdeen Angus Club as the All Ireland Aberdeen Angus Championships will return to the Munster region for the first time since 2011. The club also endeavors to run the annual Munster herds competition this year and will host a regional Youth Development (YDP) training day for young Angus breeders and cattle enthusiasts, which will be held during the summer months.
Club secretary Paul McMahon of the Sunlodge herd and club chairperson Ciaran Kelleher of the Kealkil herd both completed their respective terms in office this year. The Munster Club is indebted to both Paul and Ciaran for all their hard work and positive contribution to the club over the last number of years.
Albert DeCogan of the Mogeely herd was elected as the new Chairperson of the Munster Club and Edward Dudley of the Castlelough herd was elected as Secretary for the coming term. We wish them both well in their respective roles.
