The Netherton and HW Angus herds were flying the flag for UK-bred genetics at the World Secretarial Meetings in Mexico when a “pick of the herd” flush sold for the top price of $10,000 at the headline event sale. 

The sale, which included semen, embryos, bulls and heifers, was held on behalf of the Mexican Society and Netherton and HW Angus were one of three international herds to be asked to consign. 

The flush which guaranteed a minimum of five embryos was bought after spirited bidding by Jim Round of KBJ Angus from Alberta Canada.
