Learning from the Canadians
Due to postal strikes, some NI club members may not have received their invitation for The Northern Ireland Aberdeen-Angus Club’s World Forum Open Meeting to be held on Thursday 5th November at 8pm at Dungannon Rugby Club.
Guest speaker will be Society President William McLaren Jnr of the Netherton herd. William was one of a number of breed enthusiast’s who travelled to the World Forum in Canada where they were able to see first-hand some of the biggest displays of the breed worldwide. Club Chairman Alan Morrison is already looking forward to the presentation: “We are looking forward to hearing all about the World Forum visit to Canada, and getting an insight into how the top Angus herds in the world are progressing. We hope that members will support the event, and also welcome those who have an interest in Aberdeen-Angus cattle.”
Also speaking at the meeting will be Deanna Leven from Pfizer Animal Genetics, who will be discussing DNA profiling. For full details of this and all NI Aberdeen Angus Club events contact Alan Morrison 07811447812.
