Aberdeen-Angus senior trade tops at 20,000gns for senior champion

Leading the first run of senior bulls this morning was the pre-sale senior champion Haughton Levi P105 (lot 11) from Whittaker Farms. This Halgington Evo L333 son is out of the successful show cow Haughton Laura L026, herself a Rawburn Elysium F547 daughter. Levi was a class winner at the Summer National Show at Kelso and now heads to Northern Ireland for James Porter’s Old Glenort herd.

Next up in the money of the senior bulls was a call of 5000gns for one of the aged bulls first thing this morning, Logie Robroy N416 (lot 5) from Messrs Bruce and Partners. This one is a Blelack Evril K554 son out of a home bred Nightingale Darcy F316 daughter. 

Bryan Ronan’s second place Jerusalem Lord Hansard P289 (lot 21) then traded at 4000gns. This one is a Rawburn Julio Eric L249 son out of a Jerusalem Wagner H140 daughter. This one was reserve male and junior champion at the Great Yorkshire Show. 

Then at 5000gns was Retanach Pablo P739 (lot 25) from the Strathdee family. By Blelack Proud Challenger J349, this one is out of a home bred Belhaven Black Boy G032 daughter. He heads to Messrs Cormack, Caithness.
