Aberdeen-Angus launch breedplan breakdown

Regular visitors to the Aberdeen-Angus site will notice we have launched a new area in the Breeder Resource section – Understanding Breedplan.

Many breeders have requested that the Society provide an easy to find area on the new site which helps explain the use of EBV’s and which traits should be looked at for which purpose.

This breakdown now provides a simple, yet detailed explanation of each trait and how best to use it in your chosen system. It also includes examples of performance figures showing real life explanations of their figures and what those figures will mean for the performance of your herd.

This new area on the site has already proved a great hit with Aberdeen-Angus memebers and it is hoped other Breedplan members can also host this information on their sites as well.
