John Lascelles gets a Royal visit

Taking a watchful eye down the championship lineup of beef cattle at this year’s Royal Highland Show, HRH The Queen stopped to look at a breed close to heart and had a brief word with John Lascelles and his champion Aberdeen-Angus Blamachie Keystone.

Balmachie Keystone takes Highland Show Aberdeen-Angus championship

A delighted John Lascelles has been tapped out as champion at the lead of Balmachie Keystone G041.
Owned in partnership with Pip Robson and family, Keystone was purchased in Perth for 13,000gns. He is by The Moss Mr Eshton, a bull owned in joint partnership between James Porter and the McLaren family, out of the famous cow [...]

Drumdow Elsa takes Highland female championship

Coming through on top in the female championship was Drumdow Elsa from Willie Brown. This heifer is by The Moss Mr Espresso and is out of Drumdow Elsa B118.
Taking the reservefemale championship was the second prize heifer in that class, Carlhurlie Dardanius G628, who is by Blelack Blackstock out of Carlhurlie Dowitcher.

Muirhall Double Edition wins senior bull class

Leading the way in the senior bull class with Richard and Carol Rettie at the lead was Muirhall Double Edition from Messrs J Gilmour. This one bred by Bill and Sarah Reid is by Hoff First Edition out of Rawburn Delia 4N.

Balmachie Keystone takes intermediate class

Coming through in the senior class as winner was Balmachie Keystone from the Messrs J F Lascelles and Pippa Robson partnership. Keystone is an ET of The Moss Mr Eshton out of Kim of Fordafourie.
Taking second was Messrs J Biggar’s Chapelton Evenstar G544, a son of Chapelton Dark Middleton out of Chapelton Evening Song.
