Stirling Bull Sales February 2012

Of the 194 bulls forward today, 144 have sold to a record average of £5080, which is a massive £404 up on last February and £36 up on the previous record average.

The first of the last class of junior bulls, Retties Lord Rufus K109 from Richard and Carol Rettie, has gone at 7000gns.

The second prize outcross bull from Willie McLaren and family has just gone at 10,000gns.

I’m sure many of you are sitting at home thinking this is a cracker of a sale, well believe me it is! A rough flick through the bull is telling us 40 plus bulls so far have sold for more than £5000!

Alan Lawson has just sold his Nightingale Defiance E264 son, Hallington Evolution K281, for 12,000gns. This one is out of the Blelack Klansman C702 and sold to Messrs Henderson.

Having gone through the ring unsold at 11,000gns, Glenbuchat Bruce K149 from David sole has just sold out the back for 12,000gns to Messrs Bruce and Partners, Logie.

Continuing a good run of sales in to pedigree herds, Bob Lane of the Penguin herd, Shropshire, has just secured Cardona Potter K703 from Robbie Galloway.

The final bull from the Eastfield team, Eastfield Foreman K158 has just gone at 15,000gns to Russell Taylor, Moncur

Continuing a fantastic run of bulls from Ewan Brewis, Eastfield Black Buddy K155 has just gone at 10,000gns.

Selling for 8200gns just now is Tonley Petrov K703 from Neil Wattie. This ET-bred son of Ankonian Elixir is out of a Royal Added Value daughter.
