Record entries for 2010 south west club herd competition
A record entry of 27 herds entered the 2010 south west of England herd competition with judge Richard Ashenden travelling from Wiltshire right down to Cornwall.

Taking his second Aberdeen-Angus championship of the major shows this year was Colin Hutchings of Dulverton, Somerset, who stood champion at last week’s Royal Cornwall Show with his April 2006-born bull Wedderlie Kentucky Excel F176
Hinton Pretty Butterfly wins Bath and West Show
Taking home the Aberdeen-Angus championship honours at last week’s Bath and West Show under judge Bryan Ronan of the Jerusalem herd was Shaftesbury, Dorset-based Graham and Ashlea Kirk’s April 2008-born heifer Hinton Pretty Butterfly H003.
SW Club raise money for air ambulance charity
The South West Aberdeen-Angus Club has raised £300 for the Devon Air Ambulance, so celebrated the achievement at the recent Devon County Show with an official cheque presentation
Colin Hutchings wins Devon County Show
No stranger to the show circuit, Somerset-based Colin Hutchings kicked off his 2010 show team campaign with a win at Devon County Show in the Aberdeen-Angus classes.
SW members enjoy Rull herd open day
More than 60 South West of England Club members and friends attended the very sociable herd walk at Ed and Claire Jones Rull herd at Cullompton, Devon last Sunday, where they were also treated to some stock judging tips from Colin Hutchings.
