Water End herd does the double at North East Club calf show
Victor and Paula Dobson’s Water End herd recorded a memorable double at last weekend’s North East England Aberdeen-Angus Club calf show, with their heifer calf Water End Miss Betsy L090 taking the female and overall championship and their bull calf Water End Evolution L095 taking the male and reserve overall title.
Record entries for 2010 south west club herd competition
A record entry of 27 herds entered the 2010 south west of England herd competition with judge Richard Ashenden travelling from Wiltshire right down to Cornwall.

The great thing about calf shows is being able to take notes and see how these cattle go on in the future. It may only be the fourth Southern England Calf Show, but it already has a good reputation for producing major show and sale winner

Bon Lea Ellisand wins North Yorkshire Show
Taking the championship at the North Yorkshire County Show on the 20th June under judge Mr F Reveley was Bon Lea Ellisnad from the Brooks family.
North East England Club launches new website
The North East England Aberdeen-Angus Club has just launched it’s new website for the club, just in time for the club’s main show the Great Yorkshire Show which is to be held next month on the 13th – 15th July.
Colin Hutchings wins at Royal Cornwall Show with senior bull
Taking his second Aberdeen-Angus championship of the major shows this year was Colin Hutchings of Dulverton, Somerset, who stood champion at last week’s Royal Cornwall Show with his April 2006-born bull Wedderlie Kentucky Excel F176
