Buoyant trade lifts mood at Carrick-On- Shannon
Described as one of the best Aberdeen-Angus sales to be staged at Carrick-On-Shannon in recent years, the trade at last Saturday’s Midland and Western Livestock Improvement Society sale in Carrick-On-Shannon certainly jumped a few gears with the average up more than €1000 when compared to the same sale last year

Dungannon tops at 4200gns
Aberdeen-Angus bulls led the way at this week’s native breeds show and sale, hosted by Dungannon Farmers’ Mart. Prices soared to a top of 4200gns and 11 bulls changed hands to average £2415 – an increase of £339 on the same period last year.

Bristol sale hits 4650gns top price
Bulls sold to a peak of 4650gns at yesterday’s Southern Spring Show and sale at Bristol, with the sale gaining an international flavour after one bull sold to Canada.
