Melview Farming take their first breed championship

New to the show circuit this year Paul and Kirsty Westaway of Melview Farming, Dymock, Glos, took their first breed championship with their May 2003 born cow Tegsnose Geraldine C095 at Monmouth Show. She was picked out as champion under judge Willie Robertson of the Nightingale herd.

Lockerley Black Butterfly wins native champion at Holsworthy Show

Reigning supreme in the native championship at yesterday’s Holsworthy Show was local exhibitor Mike Kirby with his April born yearling heifer Lockerley Black Butterfly H947. This one bred at Lockerley Hall Farms is homebred on both sides and is by Lockerley Kasino and out of Black Butterfly Z346.

National Show sees more than 100 entries and some serious competition in the female classes

This year’s Aberdeen-Angus National Show, held in conjunction with the Royal County of Berkshire Show on 19-20th September, will witness some serious competition going on, particularly in the female classes.

September Stirling sale sees 35 heifers forward

The sale of Aberdeen-Angus females to be held at Stirling Agricultural Centre on the 12th September will include some 35 heifers from two consigners.
There will be a number of heifers forward from Messrs Sprowl’s Eastlands herd, as well as a number of heifers from Donald Gott’s Ladysmith herd.

All set for National Calf Show at Royal Highland Winter Fair
